S.I.G.H.T. stands for:
"Systems for in-situ theranostics using
micro-particles triggered by ultra-sound"
S.I.G.H.T. - beginning October 2006 - is a STReP within the IST priority 2.5.2. of the 6th Framework Programme of the European Commission.
S.I.G.H.T. unites 10 academic and industrial organizations from 5 countries for a period of three years to achieve its main objective: the design of multifunctional ultrasound contrast agents as supporting devices for theranostics, i.e. for both diagnostic and therapeutic treatments, in pathologies as thrombosis, tissue repairing and cancer therapies. |
